Throughout each book, Carrick and Finley have been put through the ringer by the Gods trying desperately to save the earth. Their love for each other has come so far. From the early days of Carrick’s glare and indifference, even dislike towards Finley, we saw how destined they were to be together as it was always fated. I loved the bond they had in this last book.Finley proved time and time again she is a warrior. She was the epitome of bravery and strength as she made her ultimate sacrifice. Finley remained so strong throughout this last book and even though she was put through hellish trials both emotionally and physically, she came out on top each time because she stands on the side of what’s right.I loved all of the appearances from the secondary characters as they don’t take over the story yet blend in beautifully bringing together the entire picture of this tight knit family who worked together for months and became so close. It’s beautiful to see how full circle everyone’s stories became, and I definitely predict a future book. Perhaps a spin off? One can hope. I fell in love with so many of these characters, there is someone in particular that I am dying to see in their own novel.The battle scene was very exciting, and I had no idea that it would end the way it did. This book is not predictable whatsoever. The ending was perfect. I couldn’t be happier with the way it worked out, although as in war, there is always loss.I love Sawyer Bennett and as always, her writing amazes me. She has such a diverse style. Finley’s voice was so unique. The plot was perfectly done, side characters had their own voice, and she actually got me to read my first fantasy romance series. I never thought I would read this genre until the Chronicles of The Stone Veil Series. I want more!I highly recommend you read this series. Fan-Freakin’-Tastic!!!!!!This Series sucks you in and doesn’t let go. All the books are needed to be read in order to truly appreciate the character building that develops throughout this story. Don’t think for one minute that NOT reading one of these books won’t matter, because every single one has a major reveal which is paramount to the story.The end of this series is bittersweet, and I say that only because I want MORE from Finley, Carrick & her lovable new “family!!😉” This last book brings us to learn exactly what Finley’s Role/Sacrifice will be and who ends up being truly loyal to help her & Carrick’s cause and who shockingly is an enemy (oooooh….he made me mad 😡!!!)The Battle between Good & Evil is now on, and though slightly outnumbered, Finley, Carrick and her army of allies will fight to the end to stop Kymaris and her Dark Fae from destroying our world. And as if Finley didn’t have enough on her plate with Kymaris, she has royally pissed off one of the Gods, which is NEVER a good idea!!! 😳😬 And the ending? It’s like Holy-Oh-My-God-I’m-crying-but-then-screaming-then-crying-again-for-a-whole-different-reason!!!!This Series IS and HAS EVERYTHING! Suspense, humor, romance, angst, sadness, just ALL. THE. FEELS!!!! It is truly been one hell of a ride & I can’t wait to re-read it all again.
